MASSIVE BAND aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for women and girls to make some noise together.

MASSIVE BAND will occur at the New Annual festival in Newcastle in February, 2021.

An on-going partnership with PAW in Yuendemu will see MASSIVE BAND provide tuition and mentoring for the Pirrjidi Karnta-Karnta (Strong Women) Music Program. This includes a fundraiser to purchase instruments and provide dedicated space for the young women of Yuendemu to learn instruments and make noise together! More info about the fundraiser here

The project was born in 2015 when Bree was Artist in Residence at Campbelltown Arts Centre. The year-long project culminated in a final performance which saw over 70 girls and women come together for an epic rock'n'roll performance. People who’d never played onstage before were mentored by the likes of Lindy Morrison (Go Betweens), Alison Galloway (Smudge), Jodi Phillis (The Clouds), Amanda Brown (Go Betweens), Zoe Hauptmann, Jess Green and many other of Australian’s other leading ladies of rock!

MASSIVE BAND was commissioned by Campbelltown Arts Centre as a part of the 2015 Contemporary Music program.
