Wall of Sound is a one-on-one performance:

we are separated

in an elevator shaft, a workshop corridor, any large or small space

by a shimmering wall with no sound

I will play for you

we won’t see each other, but the sound will move through us both

our chests

and through our backs and beyond, until there is no sound

again
